The nationwide protest against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) and National Register of Citizens (NRC) has taken one of the largest democracy by storm since its approval in Parliament fulfilling another promise from the BJP manifesto.

While the students and youth are fuming over the bill and taking to the street, a sudden crackdown of violence and clash between the government and students was also witnessed which grabbed the attention of entire Indian Film Industries, and the celebs also stated their views openly in this new act.

Being the first one to raise his voice in a grave matter, Abhay Deol took to his official social media handle sharing a series of pictures of the protest scenes and wrote, “Students are our asset and we should stand by them. I hope sense prevails soon, the country cannot go to war with itself! As the old adage goes, you cannot fight fire with fire.

Bollywood actress Kalki also shared a post on her social media account with the details of CAA and NRC Bill, condemning the whole act of the Government.

Meanwhile, there are many actors who got trolled or faced backlash while giving out their statement on the Bill.

Hrithik Roshan shared a small post on his social media handle which quoted “Worlds youngest democracy” and soon his post became viral with netizens asking him what exactly he meant.

 

 

Farhan Akhtar also took to his social account sharing an apology note for putting up a wrong map of India amidst all the chaos and unrest.
