The top most team of the Premier League, Manchester City clashed with the Premier League champions Liverpool and won the match with a score of 4-1.
The ManCity and Liverpool match started on a high note and the Blue army went ahead with the full force to bring the match on their side. Ilkay Gundogan of ManCity netted twice while Raheem Sterling and Phil Foden brought further points to the team bringing the score to four. The match also marked the first win of ManCity at Anfield, homecity of Liverpool, since 2003.
Moreover, this was also the third successive defeat of Liverpool on their home ground bringing the team to fourth position.
