In the field of Sir Vivian Richards Stadium, North Sound, Antigua, world witnesses a 26-year-old skipper bowling her way to the hall of fame by becoming the first women to claim for two hat-tricks in white-ball cricket. Meghan Schutt the Australian fast pace bowler etched her name in history on Thursday while she broke the host country West Indies during the third day of their One Day International (ODI) match.

Meghan claimed her first hat-trick in International cricket while playing against India in 2018 T20 World Cup at Brabourne Stadium, Mumbai.

Celebrating the achievement of the Kangaroo player, ICC tweeted, “In the final #WIvAUS ODI, Australia pacer @megan_schutt created history by becoming the first woman to claim two international hat-tricks.”

 

 

Well, the Aussies captain Meg Lanning herself sweep the field with her outstanding performance becoming the top run-scorer in Australian Women’s Cricket, surpassing Karen Rolton. With 58 runs against West Indies, the 27-year-old ended the match with a brilliant win.

 

 

With the extraordinary field execution of Schutt, Lanning and Alyssa Healy, Australia had a comfortable victory on the foreign ground. Along with it the 2018 T20 World Champions also became the first team to qualify for the 2021 Women’s World Cup.

 

 

While the Aussie Women were busy swooning the world with their record-breaking show, England Men’s Cricket Captain Joe Root joined the elite team of achieving 7000 test runs in the longest game format. During the Ashes match against Australia, the 28-year-old skipper became the third-youngest batsmen to reach the 7000 mark.
