Amy Coney To Fill The Shoes Of RBG

The United States just a week ahead of its Presidential election has voted for Amy Coney Barrette to take up the position on the bench of the Supreme Court. The 48-year-old Donald Trump nominee received her appointment after the senators voted 52-48 to confirm her position.

Barrett will be replacing liberal justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, who passed away last month. She will be the fifth woman ever appointed to the Court and her appointment marks the 6-3 conservative majority on the bench.

The Republicans celebrated the appointment of Amy Coney and called it as the “victory for the Constitution and the rule of law.”

Current President Trump during her appointment also called Barrett as one of the most brilliant legal scholars of the nation as he stated, “she will make an outstanding justice on the highest court in our land”.
