Aamir and Amitabh support Jal Shakti Abhiyan, praised by PM Modi

Jal Shakti Abhiyan, a five-point water conservation campaign was launched by the Central government on Monday. Following this, Aamir Khan and Amitabh Bachchan posted videos of them asking people to take a step forward and do their bit in water conservation.

Their effort did not go unnoticed. PM Modi praised them for their effort.

He tweeted, “Extremely valid points by @aamir_khan on the need to conserve water and create awareness at the grassroot level”

In his second tweet, PM Modi responded to Amitabh Bachchan by saying, “wise words from @SrBachchan, which will surely inspire you towards conserving water.”

Aamir Khan extended his support by saying, “Sir, the initiative taken up by you of making water the fundamental and primary issue for all of us is an extremely important step. Our wholehearted support is with you. #janshakti4jalshakti”

In the video, both the superstars talk about the various water harvesting techniques that the government officials along with the support of locals would be introducing in small towns and villages, to help the common man deal with water scarcity problem. The project is a positive step towards a better India.

Videos uploaded by the superstars were later on shared by the PM on his official account.
