As seen in the promo, the film looks like a love story of two unknown people, who meet in Mumbai and connect with each other in an extraordinary way. The promo showcases the story of a belligerent street photographer (played by Nawaz) in the dream city, who is forced by his grandmother to get married and how he persuades a timid visitor to pose as his fiancée. Nawazuddin and Sanya’s pairing is atypical and invigorating for sure.

Lately, Photograph had its world opening at the esteemed Sundance Film Festival, and the movie was also acclaimed at its European opening in the Berlin Film Festival. The film will also mark the second partnership of Nawaz and Ritesh after the Irrfan Khan starrer, The Lunchbox.

Meanwhile, Nawaz was last seen on the big screen in Thackeray opposite Amrita Rao. The film revolved around the life and times of Balasaheb Thackeray. The actor is currently shooting for Motichoor Chaknachoor that is directed by Deba Mitra Hasan. The film also stars the Hero fame Athiya Shetty in a key role.

On the other hand, Dangal fame Sanya Malhotra was last seen in the Amit Sharma directorial Badhaai Ho, which went on to become a massive hit at the box office.

The film is slated to hit the theatres on March 18.
