New Delhi, May 2026: As homes grow larger and more layered in their planning, corridors are no longer treated as mere passages between rooms. Leading architectural and interior design studio PS Design presents luxury corridors with architectural drama and material depth, an exploration of how hallways can become some of the most memorable spaces within a residence.
For PS Design, a corridor is an opportunity to shape anticipation, frame views and establish the mood of a home before one enters its primary living spaces. Through careful attention to proportion, materiality and detail, these transitional zones are transformed into architectural experiences in their own right.
In one space, a continuous envelope of warm timber wraps walls and ceiling, creating a tunnel-like passage that draws the eye toward the living area beyond. The curved junctions between surfaces soften the geometry, while the rich grain of the wood lends depth and warmth. A patterned runner, sculptural accessories and glimpses of art punctuate the journey, making movement through the space feel deliberate rather than incidental.
In another project, textured wall finishes, a barrel-vaulted ceiling and a striking geometric stone floor create a different sense of arrival. Here, material contrasts take centre stage. A sculptural console, carefully placed artwork and a restrained palette reinforce the corridor’s role as a gallery-like threshold connecting private and social spaces.
