In the ongoing South African women’s team tour to India, the home country lost the match by six wickets in the second T20I. With this win, South Africa registered a series clinching win in a last ball thriller.
India scored 158 in the 20 over match where Shefali Sharma and Richa Ghosh scored 40+ runs which helped the women’s team to put a decent target on the board. Chasing the score, South Africa’s Lizelle Lee smashed 70 off just 45 balls in a 159-run chase and Laura Wolvaardt remained unbeaten on 53 to seal the win for the visitors.
Dishing out a superb batting effort, the Indian women’s team couldn’t convert into the field when they walked into bowl. Played in Lucknow, two crucial partnerships helped South African create pressure on India and snatch the game from their hand in the last ball of the T20 match.
