Just prior to the big clash against FC Porto, Juventus’ forward Cristiano Ronaldo sent out a strong message on Champions League.
Determined to turn things around, Ronaldo admitted that Juventus has not done like they would have wanted in the Champions League, failing to reach the finals in the last two seasons. The 36-year-old is expected to play a key role when Juventus lock horns with FC Porto in the first leg of the Round of 16 in the UEFA League.
A day before the game, Ronaldo penned down his thoughts on Instagram with a picture of himself from one of his training sessions with Juventus. The popular football star spoke about the importance of bringing the best game in the knockout saying that, “every detail can make the difference”.
Aiming to give their best, the Juventus star stated that, “In the last couple of years we went home sooner than we wanted, but we continue to aim higher every season and this year is no exception”. Hailing the game against FC Porto as an important game, Ronaldo reckoned it could be “the beginning of the long walk we want to take until the final.”
Concluding his note, CR7 sent his good wishes to the opposite teams, writing, “Respect for the opponent, ambition for the victory and 100% focus on our goals. Let’s go, guys! Fino Alla Fine! 🏳️🏴💪🏽”.
