Welcome the new head coach of Chelsea, Thomas Tuchel!
The 47-year-old German as a Head Coach has brought victory to several top football teams including Paris Saint Germain, Mainz and German Cup Champion Borussia Dortmund.
Tuchel is currently appointed as the Head Coach of the team on an 18-month contract with a possibility of extension. Taking over Frank Lampard, Thomas also stated: “We all have the greatest respect for Frank Lampard’s work and the legacy he created at Chelsea. At the same time, I cannot wait to meet my new team and compete in the most exciting league in football. I am grateful to now be part of the Chelsea family – it feels amazing!”
At Chelsea, he is also reuniting with Christian Pulisic and Thiago Silva whom he has coached in Dortmund and Paris respectively. Thomas would be the first German to manage Chelsea FC.
