A surprise for everyone, the Indian bowler, Jasprit Bumrah hit his maiden first-class 50 in a Test warm-up match against Australia A.
Not known for his batting abilities, Bumrah struck a quick-fire half century to help his team score some valuable runs in time of utter need. He pulled Australian pacer Will Sutherland for a big six to reach the milestone. Also, he remains unbeaten on 55, while the Indian innings folded at 194.
The ICC page on Twitter shared a video of Bumrah scoring 50 while his teammates including skipper Virat Kohli cheered for him from the dressing room’s balcony in the stadium. Ahead of the Test series against the main team of Australia, this was a prep for the bowler.
