Not even a day is over when the trailer of Bhumi Pednekar and Taapsee Pannu starrer ‘Saand ki Aankh’ got released and it landed in controversies. The movie which shows the story of two old age sharpshooter sisters, Chandro and Prakashi Tomar, received comments on its star cast. From hitting the bull’s eye every time, the star cast hit the sentiments of veteran actor Neena Gupta this time.

Neena took notice of it when a netizen pointed out how the role is suitable for senior actors and tagged her, Shabana Azmi and Jaya Bachchan while showering the love on the current star cast. The tweet reads, “I love @bhumipednekar and @taapsee but I kinda wish older actors were cast in these roles. Could you imagine @Neenagupta001 and @AzmiShabana or Jaya Bachchan? #SaandKiAankh”.

Soon the tweet received a reply from Neena, who in a quirky way wrote, “Yes i was just thinking about this hamari umar ke role toe kamsekam humse kara lo bhai”.

Well, the controversy took another turn when Kangana Ranaut’s sister and PR, Rangoli Chandel openly criticised the cast of the film and supported Neena Gupta, calling out the filmmakers sexist for not casting old actresses.

Saving herself from landing into controversies, Neena gave a thumbs up to the trailer and quoted the famous ‘Gully Boy’ dialogue “Apna time aayega”. Expressing her love for Bhumi and Taapsee, She wrote, “I liked the trailer, #SaandKiAankh and I have great respect for both the actors @bhumipednekar @taapsee chalo lets wish the film good luck also to #AnuragKashyap who I am very fond of, chalo apna time ayega ”.
