India dominated the Shooting World Cup held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. With overall four gold medals and occupying the top three positions in various shooting events, India left its mark in the World Championship.
The People’s Republic of China and India were going neck to neck in the competition but after winning 10m Air Rifle Mixed Team Final Apurvi Chandela, World Number one Shooter and Deepak Kumar brought another gold for the country.
Along with claiming the first position by Indian shooters, Anjum Moudgil and Divyansh Singh Panwar secured the third position and received the bronze medal.
In the International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) World Competition, Manu Bhaker and Chaudhary Saurabh came out with flying colours in 10m Air Pistol Mixed Team Event after defeating their competitors Yashaswini Singh Deswal and Abhishek Verma who had to settle for silver.
The competition which saw many rising stars, brought overall sixteen golds, four silvers and two bronze to India by dominating the four stages of ISSF World Championship.

Along with it the National Rifle Association of India (NRAI), also congratulated the pair who have won four golds up till now.

The 2019 ISSF World Cup is also a qualifying tournament for 2020 Summer Olympic Games which is going to be held at Tokyo, Japan.
