India-wide Release, 7 October 2026: Multi-cultural hip-hop artist Bali Rico has released his first full-length album, SHRINE, bringing conscious rap infused with the essence of spirituality and philosophy.
Raised in America and immersed in the tradition of Bhakti, Bali found sonic kinship and musical identity in hip hop culture. With this album, he explored themes of mortality, longing, hope, despair, and the resilience of spirit. SHRINE was the first single released from the album, and it arrived alongside a spectacular music video. The title track was hard-hitting, fun and expressive, encapsulating the experience of a lifelong seeker yearning for reconnection. NATURE offered a commentary on the light and shadow aspects of the human condition. REMEMBER was a heartfelt call for concession. BLOODLINE served as an ode to the beauty of grief, and RAIN reminded listeners of the sacred in allegory. From the gritty, combative flow on IRON to the esoteric introspection on TIME, the album took listeners on a transformative voyage with pensive songwriting and beats that moved the body.
Bali Rico’s music seamlessly integrated Eastern philosophy and Indian music with hip-hop. The single and music video captured the essence of his artistic identity. Produced by Govinda Ghosh, SHRINE served as an entry point to Bali’s album, with a sound that reflected the diversity of his upbringing.
Talking about the album, Bali Rico said, “Bhakti and hip hop shaped me as an artist and human being. Exploring the movement and mystery of life through this musical medium has been a unique adventure and I really feel like this collaboration and projects like this album are needed now more than ever.”
Bali Rico is bridging modern audiences to the essence of bhakti through the raw, real energy of hip-hop. SHRINE is an honest, poetic exploration of life, in its full expression.
