In the myth, the first woman and man, Mashyana and Mashya, emerge from a single seed, their unified form gradually transforming into two distinct beings, with souls bestowed by Ahura Mazda. Ashdeen takes this moment of creation as the starting point for a collection that looks at the natural world, with animals, birds, plants and aquatic life as sacred guardians of creation.

What makes the collection particularly compelling is what Ashdeen does with the Parsi Gara vocabulary. The flora that has traditionally dominated the repertoire gives way to fauna: roosters, fish, pomegranates, trees and celestial bodies become the protagonists, rendered with extraordinary movement and symbolism. A traditional Indian royal Shikargah is reimagined through a Parsi Gara lens, while new Indo-western silhouettes bring this mythology into contemporary festive dressing for both women and men.

This is a rare intersection of fashion, mythology, heritage and image-making, a distinctly Parsi story told through a contemporary fashion language.
