England all-rounder Ben Stokes has stunned the world with his brilliant performances this summer. From an unbeatable 84 runs in the finals of ICC World Cup against New Zealand, bringing the maiden Men’s Cricket World Cup trophy home to scoring 135 runs in the third match of Ashes test series against Australia, Ben stokes was in his full form in the fields.
Now the 28-year-old player is also shining in the award ceremonies. In the 50th NatWest Professional Cricketers Association Awards, Stokes lifted the Reg Hayter Cup of the Player of the year.

Along with Ben, Sophie Ecclestone, the left-arm-spinner who performed extraordinarily ahead of the Women’s T20 World Cup 2020, made history to win two NatWest Women’s Player of the summer. Earlier, the 20-year-old has received the award in 2018 and was named the Emerging Player of the year by the International Cricket Council (ICC).

While English players were being honoured for their outstanding field execution, Alyssa Healy of Australia scored an unbeaten 148 runs against Sri Lanka, the highest individual score in Women’s T20 International Cricket. Along with it, Healy also scored her century in just 46 balls and became the second player to achieve the fastest 100 runs, after West Indies star player Deandra Dottin.
