Vaani Kapoor Bags A Big One After Befikre

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Vaani Kapoor made her Bollywood debut in 2013, with Shuddh Desi Romance, a romantic comedy, with Sushant Singh Rajput and Parineeti Chopra. The film did reasonably well. In 2014, she travelled South to do another rom-com, a bi-lingual, which also did fairly well.

The leggy Delhi model then signed a three-film deal with Yash Raj Films, and starred in the first of that, Befikre, which features her in hot scenes with Ranveer Singh. But the film met with a less than lukewarm response.

Now, with a newly toned body, Vaani Kapoor has moved up a few notches by bagging the role of Ranbir Kapoor’s love interest in Karan Malhotra’s action adventure Shamshera, starring Ranbir Kapoor and Sanjay Dutt. The strikingly tall Vaani’s earlier muscular look did not get her too much appreciation from her fans. So she has moulded herself to fit into audience minds better.  

Director Karan Malhotra says,  “We wanted someone absolutely fresh to wow audiences on the big screen, and Vaani beautifully fits that brief.” Vaani, who plays a travelling performer, will have an opportunity to showcase both, her acting and dancing talent in the film.

Shamshera is a high-octane, larger-than-life entertainer, and will have jaw-dropping action sequences and Ranbir Kapoor in a new avatar. The movie is expected to be completed by the end of 2019.
