United Airlines’ Engine Failure Results In Temporary Suspension Of Boeing 777

A United Airlines flight experienced an engine failure and burst into flames just after takeoff from the Denver International Airport. Flying from Denver to Honolulu, the flight made an emergency landing back safely in Denver but large debris of the plane fell on the neighborhood.

The Boeing 777-200 plane had passengers and 10 crew on board and no injuries have been reported. A cloud of black smoke was left behind by the United Airlines aircraft and after this incident, Boeing has recommended the airlines for temporarily suspending the usage of Boeing 777.

24 Boeing 777 aircrafts whose engines are powered by Pratt & Whitney 4000 series, will be temporarily removed for usage by United Airlines. Working with concerned authorities to rectify the failed engine accident, United Airlines announces that safety is their main priority and are proud with how the flight’s crew as well as the employees showcased professionalism without any panic during the failed engine incident.

We are voluntarily & temporarily removing 24 Boeing 777 aircraft powered by Pratt & Whitney 4000 series engines from our schedule. We will continue to work closely with regulators to determine any additional steps and expect only a small number of customers to be inconvenienced.
