National, 4th September: The Forresta Kitchen & Bar, a 15-year-old hospitality brand from Jaipur, is expanding its presence to Goa with The Forresta Kinaro, a premium all-day dining and entertainment destination along the Ashwem–Mandrem stretch. From its original flagship property in Jaipur to its outpost at Jaipur Airport and its second city outlet in Udaipur, The Forresta has built its presence around food, drinks, music, design and an atmosphere that brings people together. Kinaro marks the brand’s next chapter, bringing this spirit to a coastal setting.
Goa felt like a natural next step, a place where people come to slow down, stay longer and let the day unfold. Kinaro brings that sensibility to a more expansive setting by the sea, allowing the space to find its own rhythm from late breakfasts and leisurely lunches through to sundowners and evenings.
“We didn’t want to create another restaurant in Goa; we wanted to create a place that people could settle into and let the day unfold around them. You might come for lunch and stay through sunset, or sit down for a drink and find yourself there well into the night. That unplanned quality is something we really wanted Kinaro to capture.”, Pallavi & Maniesh Devraj
Spread across 35,000 sq. ft., The Forresta Kinaro is the brand’s most expansive destination yet a substantial coastal space designed to feel like a world of its own. Rather than one large dining room, the property unfolds across multiple distinct zones, including an elevated indoor dining area, a panoramic sea-facing space, a semi-covered outdoor section with a performance stage and an open terrace. Designed across levels, the property gradually steps down towards the sea, creating a sense of movement through the space and allowing each zone to connect differently with the coastline, sky and surrounding landscape. The scale allows Kinaro to move effortlessly from late breakfasts and long lunches to sundowners, cocktails, music and nights that carry on well after sunset.
The architecture draws from grand coastal colonial buildings, with tall arches, colonnades, textured walls, patterned flooring, balustrades and expansive verandah-like spaces. Tropical landscaping, palms, water and natural textures soften the old-world character, while the openness of the property creates a strong connection with the coast. The design is intended to work with its setting rather than compete with it, creating an environment that feels open, tropical and connected to the landscape by day, before taking on a warmer, more dramatic character at night.
At the heart of Kinaro is a “food without borders, with comfort at its core” philosophy. The large-format global menu moves across small plates, fresh seafood, sushi and dumplings, grills, Indian favourites, pastas, pizzas and dishes inspired by different parts of the world. Led by Chef Vikas, the culinary programme balances technique, visual expression and instinctive flavour, with dishes including Kingfish Ceviche, Prawn Tempura Koliwada, Butter & Chimichurri Prawns with Poi, Crispy Chilli Chonak and Murgh Nawabi Tikka. The approach is refined yet approachable, built on the belief that scale should never come at the expense of fine food.
At the bar, “The plan is never really the plan.” This philosophy comes to life through “The Plan Was Different,” a cocktail menu inspired by the spontaneous nature of a day in Goa, where plans tend to shift and the best moments are often the unplanned ones. Cocktails such as Detour and Last One play into those changing plans, with a refreshing and approachable style designed for long afternoons, sunsets and nights that extend well beyond the original plan. If a drink tastes great and feels right beside the sea, it belongs.
Music shapes the progression from day to night, beginning with laid-back, lo-fi sounds during the day before building into sundowner energy and increasingly upbeat evenings. As night sets in, the music moves into a more energetic, Bollywood-led format, creating a natural progression from dining and drinks into celebration.
With The Forresta Kinaro, the brand brings its legacy from Jaipur to the coast, carrying forward the food, drinks, music and unmistakable energy that have defined Forresta over the years. Some of that connection is quite literal, with ingredients continuing to travel from Jaipur, while Goa allows the brand to evolve into something more contemporary, free-spirited and instinctive. Here, the experience is less about any single element and more about how everything comes together, creating a place that can shift effortlessly from a relaxed afternoon to an unforgettable night. Guests may come for the food and drinks, but they remember the feeling.
