The 20-year-old won 28 lap sprint race for Prema racing starting from the pole in the reverse grid. Despite a strong challenge from Honda backed Japan’s Nobuharu Matsushita, he took the flag with a 1.4 second advantage on the same circuit where his father has witnessed four Grand Prix victories. Mick’s victory saw the most renowned ‘Schumacher’ title on the podium of Hungary after fifteen-years.

Schumacher has won the Formula 3 title last year and is currently a member of the Ferrari Driver Academy. Due to his surname, Schumacher’s career has come under intense scrutiny. The racer earlier has used his mother’s title, Betsch, to avoid unwanted attention. Schumacher currently stands at 11 position in the Formula 2 with 45 points.
