Indians might be excited to host the US President Donald Trump on his maiden two days official visit to the country. But the President has left the netizens amused and how?
Trump addressed thousands of people in Ahmedabad’s Motera Cricket Stadium at the ‘Namaste Trump’ rally, held in the honour of the POTUS. Speaking at the event, the world leader caught a lot of ears with his accent when he pronounced desi words.
With his speech filled with Indian references like DDLJ, Sholay and Virat Kohli, among others, videos of his mispronunciations went viral. The worst of it was when he called Sachin Tendulkar as Soo-chin Tendulkar during the praise of star Indian cricketers in his address.
However, the praise seemed to be lost in translation as the International Cricket Council (ICC) took a dig at Trump’s faux pas.
