Mainstream Tollywood Actor Ram Pothineni was issued a fine of Rs 200 by the Hyderabad police on Monday for smoking a cigarette in a ‘no-smoking’ zone.

The episode occurred close to the city’s noteworthy Charminar, where the on-screen character was shooting for his upcoming film iSmart Shankar. While the entertainer had lit a cigarette as a major aspect of his job for the film, the Charminar police who as of late propelled a drive against open smoking under their locale, slapped a fine.

 

 

The Telugu star was fined under the Cigarettes and Other Tobacco Products Act (COPTA) 2003 and he paid the fine.

The drive embraced by the Charminar police is a piece of a bigger arrangement by the city police to control open smoking, by forcing fines of Rs 200, on the individuals who are gotten in the demonstration.

Coordinated by Puri Jagganadh, iSmart Shankar has Nabha Natesh and Nidhhi Aggarwal in lead jobs alongside Ram Pothineni other than Brahmanandam, Rao Ramesh, Tanikella Bharani and Pavithra Lokesh among others in supporting jobs.
