The Perseverance rover of NASA’s Mars 2020 project has successfully landed on the surface of the red planet giving way to the celebratory moment to the officials of the space organization.

The Perseverance rover along with Ingenuity helicopter drone have left for their space journey on 30 July, 2020 and after traversing for seven long months, finally touched the surface of Mars at 20:55 UTC on 18 February, 2021. The rover will investigate and study the ancient environment of Mars and will assess if the planet has any past supporting the habitability.

Landing at Jezero Carter, Perseverance also shared a still from its “forever home” and announced that it is safe on the red planet.
