Tokyo Olympics Chief Executive, Toshiro Muto has stated that the rescheduled Olympics will not be done with grand splendor in an online meeting with the International Olympic Committee (IOC) executive board in Switzerland.

The delay of the Tokyo Olympics has cost Japan a loss of two to six billion dollars and for this, the IOC has started to review the service levels like stadiums, which they originally planned for. Not giving exact details, Toshiro Muto added that 200 ideas are being simplified for execution before the 2021 Games.

IOC might cut reductions for the torch relay and combine the opening-closing ceremonies of the Olympics and Paralympics. In terms of spectators, they will have an audience as the players will need cheering during such hard times but while following the precautions of COVID-19 for safety. Also, the Games will not be further cancelled.
