Over the past few years, the IIT JEE exams have undergone several changes and now much-discussed eligibility criteria has also been waived off for the year 2021.
Earlier, the students for writing the JEE exam should have a minimum score of 75 percent in their Class XII or should fall in the top 20 percentile of the qualifying exam which has been scrapped down and the aspirants only need to pass their Class XII for appearing in the JEE Advanced 2021.
The Union Cabinet Minister of Education, Dr Ramesh Pokhriyal through a virtual conference shared the new changes in the exam along with announcing the date of JEE Advanced, which will be conducted across the nation on 3 July, 2021.

The Ministry of Education has also given another chance to the candidates, who have qualified JEE Main 2020 but couldn’t appear for the second stage of the examination due to the COVID-19 pandemic, to directly write JEE Advanced 2021. The new alteration amidst the COVID crisis received a huge applause from the netizens and students thanked Dr Pokhriyal for the amendments.
