Neena Gupta In The Offing Akshay Kumar Starrer Sooryavanshi

One film that has become the talk of the B-town since the time it was announced, is Akshay Kumar starrer Sooryavanshi. Another cop drama in Rohit Shetty’s police cosmos, Sooryavanshi first gave his foretaste in December 2018’s Ranveer Singh’s Simmba.

While the producers had already revealed the primary cast of the film, latest reports propose that Badhaai Ho actress Neena Gupta has also merged the star cast. Neena will be seen depicting the role of a mother in the film and she has revealed that her role is not of a conventional mother but has many scopes to it.

Talking to reporters, Neena Gupta established that she will be portraying Akshay Kumar’s mother in Sooryavanshi. Enlightening details about her character, the actress told, ‘This is an interesting role because it isn’t the stereotypical mother who asks his son about food and marriage, etc., but has several dimensions. There is a new temperament to the mother, and you will get to see a very different dynamic between Akshay, Katrina and me. This is a new, sweet and interesting space that I am looking to explore. I am happy that more people will get to see my work. Rohit has made some amazing films which have been appreciated by the audience.’
