Bengaluru’s most entertaining circle returns, this time with a seat for everyone. Returning on 17 July, the ticketed second edition invites guests to an evening of Negronis, conversation, curated dining, and hosted experiences with Anand Virmani.
Following an enthusiastic response to its debut, KOKO Bengaluru and Hapusa Himalayan Dry Gin are bringing back The Bitter People’s Club for its second edition on 17 July 2026. Opening to the public for the first time through a ticketed format, the evening invites guests to gather over expertly crafted cocktails, engaging conversation, and a menu curated by KOKO.
Hosted by Anand Virmani, Founder of Hapusa Himalayan Dry Gin, The Bitter People’s Club is centred around a simple idea: life’s everyday frustrations are often best shared over a perfectly balanced Negroni. More than a complaint circle, the evening brings together people through conversation, humour, and thoughtfully crafted experiences, creating a space where shared stories become lasting connections.
The experience begins with a welcome Gin and Tonic, setting the tone for an evening that celebrates both craftsmanship and community. Guests will then take part in a guided DIY Negroni making session, discovering the balance of botanicals, bitters, and flavour that has made the cocktail a timeless classic. Throughout the evening, a signature Negroni will be served alongside a series of hosted games and interactive experiences designed to encourage conversation and connection.
Complementing the cocktails is a specially curated menu featuring some of KOKO’s signature dishes. Guests can enjoy favourites including the KOKO Golden Maki with white asparagus tempura and truffle cream cheese, Wild Salmon and Truffle Roll, Prawn and Lemongrass Dumplings, Lantern Chicken, Peking Duck with Pancake, Japanese Curry Bowl, and Dan Dan La Mian, offering a thoughtful pairing to the evening’s cocktail experience.
With its second edition, The Bitter People’s Club continues to build on the collaboration between KOKO Bengaluru and Hapusa Himalayan Dry Gin, bringing together exceptional cocktails, contemporary Asian cuisine, and meaningful conversation in one distinctive evening. Whether guests arrive with friends or meet fellow cocktail enthusiasts along the way, the experience is designed to leave them with new stories, new connections, and perhaps a lighter outlook than when they arrived.
