August 2026: British singer-songwriter Jorja Smith releases her third album, What Are The Odds, on 21st August 2026 via FAMM. Rooted in dance music, the album marks a striking evolution for one of contemporary R&B’s defining voices. Across UK Garage, Grime, 2-Step, UK Funky, Soulful House and Afro House, Jorja explores a more physical, club-focused side of her sound without losing the intimacy and  emotional honesty that have long defined her songwriting.

Across twelve tracks, What Are The Odds explores friendship, grief, betrayal, loneliness, love and self-discovery. It captures Jorja at her most confident and creatively free, celebrating the artists, sounds and communities that have shaped her while placing those influences firmly within the present and future.

For Indian listeners, the album arrives at an intersection of alternative R&B and the country’s expanding electronic and underground music culture. What Are The Odds reflects the increasingly fluid relationship between R&B, club music and

dancefloor-driven discovery – a space resonating across India’s contemporary music ecosystem.

Speaking about the album, Jorja Smith shares:

“This is music to make you move. This is a record for driving and vibing.”

The album began with a loose conversation between Jorja and her longtime collaborator P2J following Little Things. The majority of the record then took shape across just three instinctive, pressure-free studio sessions, allowing Jorja to reconnect with the joy of making music and trust her creative impulses.

That sense of freedom runs throughout the album. For Life considers what it means to love and support a friend through addiction, while Pretend confronts betrayal. The title track, What Are The Odds, reflects on Jorja’s experience of growing up in public.

This City features a classic verse from grime legend Devlin’s London City, specially re-recorded for the album. Alive brings Jorja together with Wizkid, further extending the record’s dialogue between R&B, Afro-influenced sounds and dance music, while songs including What’s Done Is Done, I Lied, You Lied, Dancing and Young Heart balance the physical energy of the dancefloor with deeply personal writing.

Created independently through FAMM, What Are The Odds is the sound of Jorja trusting her instincts. Euphoric without losing its emotional depth, the album moves between moments of release and reflection, transforming discomfort, uncertainty and vulnerability into music built for movement.

The album has already received four-star reviews from both NME and Rolling Stone UK. NME described the record as “endearingly charming, brutally honest and ultimately fun,” while Rolling Stone UK called it Jorja’s best album yet.

Arriving ten years after Blue Lights, What Are The Odds places the independence, instinct and emotional honesty that have always defined Jorja Smith within a bold

new frame. It is a celebration of movement, connection and creative freedom, made by an artist trusting herself completely.

Alongside the album’s release, Jorja co-headlines All Points East in London with Tems on 21st August. Curated by Jorja and FAMM in collaboration with the festival, the wider line-up includes Nia Archives, kwn, Ayra Starr, Odeal, Uncle Waffles, DJ EZ, Maverick Sabre and Katy B, alongside a special performance from Elmiene and The Sunday Service Choir.

Jorja has also announced a major 2027 headline tour across Europe, the UK and Australia, including London’s The O2 on 17 July, alongside dates in Amsterdam, Paris, Berlin, Copenhagen, Stockholm, Oslo, Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne.
