On Mother’s Day, ZEE5 unveiled ‘Maa Hai Na’, a Hindi comedy cooking reality series hosted by Shilpa Shetty Kundra. The 10-episode non-fiction show brings together six Gen Z celebrities and their mothers/Kid in a unique format that blends cooking challenges with emotional conversations, humour, and family bonding. Produced by Lil Frodo Productions House, the concept explores the dynamic between modern youth culture and traditional maternal wisdom, all set in the backdrop of a kitchen.

Digital creator and internet favorite Bhagyashree Sharma (Bhagya Bro) is all set to make her reality debut with the show, stepping into the non-fiction entertainment space alongside her mother in a format that blends food, family bonding, and light-hearted competition.

Known for her relatable Assamese comedy skits and strong Gen-Z connect, Bhagyashree has built a loyal digital community of over 1.3 million followers. Her transition from regional content creator to mainstream OTT marks a significant milestone in her journey, introducing her authentic humour and personality to a wider national audience.

The show, hosted by Shilpa Shetty Kundra, also marks her OTT hosting debut and features six celebrities alongside their mother/kid in a cooking-led reality format that highlights generational dynamics through humour, emotion, and everyday kitchen chaos.

For Bhagyashree, the experience offers a refreshing shift from short-form digital content to a more immersive storytelling format, while also highlighting her personal bond with her mother in a completely new environment.

Speaking about her participation, she shared that the opportunity felt both personal and meaningful:

“Me and my mom don’t really get to spend a lot of time doing activities together, so cooking felt like a way for us to bond more. I enjoy experimenting in the kitchen, and this show made the experience really special for us.”

She also reflected on the transition from digital creator to OTT personality:

“This felt like a great opportunity to explore a new side of myself and connect with audiences beyond social media.”

The series brings together a diverse mix of television personalities and digital creators, creating moments of humour, emotion, and relatable family dynamics in an unscripted setting.

Blending comedy, emotion, and real-life relationships, ‘Maa Hai Na’ promises to showcase Bhagyashree Sharma in a more candid and unfiltered light, marking an exciting new chapter in her entertainment journey.
