New Delhi, 15 May 2026: Ashoka University, Delhi-NCR, today welcomed Shri Ram Nath Kovind, Hon’ble 14th President of India, to its campus for the inauguration of ‘Student Housing Facility in the University’s North Campus’, marking another significant milestone in Ashoka’s ongoing growth as one of India’s leading higher education institutions.
The former President inaugurated the student housing facility in the presence of distinguished guests from Ashoka University, including Ashish Dhawan, Founding Chairperson, Board of Trustees; Rudrangshu Mukherjee, Chancellor; Somak Raychaudhury, Vice-Chancellor; senior university leadership and faculty members. The visit also included the planting of Rudraksha trees by Smt. Savita Kovind and Shri Ram Nath Kovind, followed by a campus tour showcasing Ashoka University’s vast research and digital resources, including the HDFC Library and Archives of Contemporary India.
