New Delhi, September 26, 2025 – The College of Art, Tilak Marg, New Delhi, opened its doors this morning to DUALITY, a powerful poetry and art exhibition by 14-year-old artist and poet Mehr Dhawan, a Grade 9 student of Pathways School, Gurgaon. The exhibition was inaugurated at 9:30 AM by Shri Vijay Bidhuri, Secretary, Ministry of Environment & Forests, in the presence of educators, art enthusiasts, and environmentalists.

DUALITY is an evocative exploration of the fragile balance between two worlds — one where nature is preserved and nurtured, and another where it is exploited and neglected. Through paintings, installations, and poetry, Mehr invites viewers to experience this tension, confront uncomfortable truths, and reflect on the choices that shape our planet’s future.

 

Mehr’s work blends visual storytelling with poetic narrative, making sustainability both an intellectual and emotional experience. Her acclaimed installations — such as Sliced Sea (crafted from recycled candle wicks and twine) and The Cry Beneath the Surface (a resin fishbowl embedded with microplastic waste) — have previously been recognized by the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting and the Ministry of Environment & Forests.

Speaking at the inauguration, Mohan Singh Sanjeev Kumar, Principal of Pathways School, along with Ms. Dimpu Sharma, praised Mehr’s commitment to environmental causes, noting her initiative in planting over 30,000 Lakshmi Taru trees as a child.

The exhibition will be open for public viewing from 29th September to 29th October 2025, between 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM daily at the College of Art, Tilak Marg, Mandi House, New Delhi.

The Thing With Feathers’ Delhi run will be staged at the OP Jindal Auditorium on September 26 and 27, 2026 Aadyam Theatre, an initiative by the Aditya Birla Group, brings its fourth showcase, The Thing With Feathers, to Delhi this September. Through the show, an intelligent narrative device is used in the form of birds as characters, that act as witnesses to this metamorphosis, taking us on a journey of self-revelation about our past and the choices made by human kind that led us to where we are today. The cast is an ensemble of some of the most celebrated names in the industry, including Vinay Pathak,Mantra, Neil Bhoopalam, Bhavya Rampal, Waris Ahmed Zaidi, Chandrachoor Rai, Amit Purohit, Radhika Mehrotra, Vidhushi Chadha, Bhagyashree Tarke, and Aarsha Mukherji. The production team consists of experienced technicians and crew, with Isha Ahluwalia as Costume Designer; Vikrant Thakar as Lighting Designer; Sameer Shaikh as Executive Producer; Hussain Zaidi and Amit Purohit supervising backstage production; Aditya Narayan designing the music; and Meena Agarwal as Production Designer. Throughout this season, Aadyam Theatre has upheld its decade-long ethos of nurturing storytelling and bringing the best of Indian theatre.
