Debutants Celebrate ‘Dhadak’ Jubilee

Bollywood stars Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khatter made their debut in Bollywood film industry with Shashank Khaitan’s and Karan Johar’s drama-romance film titled ‘Dhadak’ in 2018. As the film clocked its one year on 20 July, the duo and the director of the film penned down an emotional note on their Instagram handle.

The producer of the film, Karan Johar shared a short clip of two songs, the title song of the film and the energetic dance number, ‘Zingaat’. He wrote a heartfelt note saying, “It’s one year already!! Two hearts, one heartbeat – that touched the hearts of many. This is what pure innocent love looks like, congrats to the entire team! #1YearOfDhadak @janhvikapoor @ishaankhatter@ShashankKhaitan @apoorva1972@dharmamovies @zeestudiosofficial@ZeeMusicCompany”.

The actors also took to their Instagram handle to celebrate their first film anniversary. Janhvi Kapoor shared some still pictures from the sets of the film captioning it as, “1 year of Dhadak. 1 year of Madhu and Parthavi. 1 year of this family, of your love, of all these memories and people that I will cherish my whole life and never let go of. Eternally grateful @karanjohar With this film you’ve given me a family, an opportunity and set me on a path I’ve always only dreamed of. While Ishaan Khatter also shared a couple of pictures with his co-actress Janhvi Kapoor thanking everyone, “Tomorrow marks one year of the theatrical release of Dhadak. Major nostalgia ensues and will continue for the next few hours.

Dhadak is a remake of 2016 Marathi language film titled ‘Sairat’. The story showcased the love story of two youngsters Madhu (played by Ishaan Khatter) and Parthavi (played by Janhvi Kapoor) who elope together after facing opposition from their families.

Apart from this, Janhvi Kapoor will next be seen in Hardik Mehta’s 2020 horror-comedy film titled ‘Roohi Afza’ opposite Rajkummar Rao and Varun Sharma.
