The outstanding feat of Burnley also marks their first victory at Liverpool since the year 1974. The clash started off well with both the teams in attacking mode, however, none of the teams could successfully net the ball till 82 minutes into the game.

In the 83 minute of the match, Ashley Barnes went ahead and scored from the penalty spot for the team Burnley and took a lead over the red team. It also marked the 100 goal of Ashley in his senior career, who, celebrating the team’s victory, stated: “It’s a big achievement to get to 100 goals but more importantly we came here and did the job and got the three points.”
