One of the most anticipated films of Sandalwood is ‘Amar’, as it will see the debut of Abhishek Gowda, son of late politician and Kannada cinema’s most celebrated actor, Ambareesh.
The young hunk will be romancing actress Tanya Hope on the big screen and the movie will be released on 31st May. The film is known to have been shot in a record number of destinations in Karnataka and other neighbouring states as well as in the majestic backdrop of Switzerland.

The romantic action entertainer has music scored by Arjun Janya and according to the reports the cast and crew went on a seven-day cruise to Malaysia for the shoot of a song sequence. There is also a special song dedicated to veteran actor Ambareesh in the film which will see Deveraj, Chikkanna, Sadhu Kokila and Sudharani in pivotal roles.
Directed by Nagashekar and produced by Sandesh Nagaraj the film features Darshan in few crucial points of the film and will also be a part of the climax. ‘Since he is part of the turning point in the film, we don’t want to reveal his character, and want to keep it as a suspense,’ revealed Sandesh. Rachita Ram and Anup Bhandari will also be seen special cameo roles.
