With the world still ignorant about the climate crisis and global warming, NASA shared a picture on its official social media account, taken from its satelite Landsat 8, which is giving shock waves across the globe, proving that Earth is in danger.

The picture is of the northernmost tip of Antarctica taken on 13 February after the continent experienced the heatwave that started on 5 February. The highest temperature recorded was 18.3 degrees on 6 February while last year it was 17.5 degrees in the month of March.

The heat wave over Antarctica caused a dramatic irreversible melting that looks really disturbing. As soon as NASA released the picture, it went viral over the online world with people sharing it over their social media handles with messages regarding the rising temperature of Earth and hashtags like ‘Save Earth’, ‘No Planet B’ and more while urging the public and world leaders to take the environmental issues seriously.
