Social Media and safety has always been a debatable topic. With more popularity, these platforms also bring evil and mostly teens fall prey to these social media ill-aspects.

Hence, the giant photo and video sharing platform, Instagram is taking a step further to create a safe online environment. Instagram is open to use by anyone of and above 13 years. And though while signing up, providing the correct birthdate is a must still there are a lot of discrepancies, which in long runs takes a toll on young minds.

However, to protect the teens from unsolicited messages from adults, Insta is introducing a new feature that prevents adults from sending messages to people under 18 who don’t follow them. Moreover, to those teens and adults who don’t follow each other, a cautious message will be sent to the under 18 users to restrict or block the other user and end the conversation there.

Moving ahead Instagram will soon roll out the features which will make it difficult for adults to reach out to under 18 users or go through their content. Also, the Facebook owned platform will encourage the young users to opt for private accounts and save themselves from any kind of nuisance.
