As the mobile phone companies are embracing the 5G world, leading processor manufacturer Qualcomm has dropped its new flagship processor Snapdragon 888 SoC.
The successor of Snapdragon 865 is touted to deliver 25 percent higher processing power and graphics. It also comes with the third-generation Snapdragon X60 5G modem to provide an enhanced 5G connectivity across various global networks.
Moreover, witnessing the camera-driven demand, the new processor is equipped with a triple image signal processor (ISP) called Qualcomm Spectra 580 which is 35 percent faster in capturing your favourite moments in still or video.

It also has an all-new Wi-Fi connectivity, Qualcomm FastConnect 6900 Mobile Connectivity System that brings Wi-Fi 6 at up to 3.6Gbps alongwith the 6GHz capacity over Wi-Fi 6E. The company has introduced its new AI Engine that can deliver up to three times performance per watt improvement over the previous generation and has a dedicated low-power AI processor to enable features such as screen awake, activity detection, and audio event detection.
For the mobile gamers, the Snapdragon 888 SoC is equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon Elite Gaming which will provide HDR quality graphics, along with desktop-level capabilities that can improve game rendering by up to 30 percent.

The brand new Snapdragon 888 processor will be equipped in the phones from the first quarter of next year and several renowned companies such as OnePlus, Xiaomi and more have already announced it.
