Indian cricket’s man of steel turned politician, Chetan Chauhan is no more. After testing COVID-19 positive, he developed multiple complications and was put on ventilator support but died after suffering a cardiac arrest at the age of 73.

An opener for team India, Chetan Chauhan played 40 Test matches for the country from 1969 to 1978, scoring 2500+runs. He also had the longest opening partner in red-ball cricket with Sunil Gavaskar, sharing ten hundred run partnerships for the first wicket.
