Dark theme or dark mode has been gracefully embraced by all the technological giants. A trend set by WhatsApp mobile, soon captured Instagram, Facebook and even Google’s attention, giving us the opportunity to explore dark modes on all the platforms which proves to be less strenuous on our eyes.

But for a long time the demand for dark themes for WhatsApp Web was going on and netizens were pulling off many tricks to get this theme with the help of third party apps. But now the company is all set to roll out a dark theme along with other features.

WhatsApp taking to its official social media page shared with us an interactive video which basically shows the transformation of its web app. Apart from this update, new stickers and improved group video calls are also making their way onto the web platform of WhatsApp.

The company has also brought good news for KaiOS users as they can now enjoy the popular feature of share updates that disappear after 24 hours.

These features will be rolled out in the span of next few weeks as WhatsApp writes, “New feature alert! We are rolling out Dark Mode on desktop, improvements to group video calls, Status in KaiOS – and coming in a few weeks, Animated Stickers and QR codes.”
