Three months since his last international match, Jasprit Bumrah is back!
He re-emerged at the nets in Vizag after suffering a lower back stress fracture. The pace bowler was last seen in the World Cup semi-final against New Zealand in July. Now, Bumrah is a part of the India’s squad for the ODI series against Australia that will kickstart from 14 January and the T20 series against Sri Lanka. He will be the A-star bowler for the team in the bowling department with his bouncer attack and yorkers.
Great to have you back, Bumrah!
And Vernon Philander says goodbye to the world of cricket.
The South African pacer will retire from all formats of international cricket following the upcoming Test series against England. An important part of the Proteas, he represented South Africa in 60 Tests, 30 ODIs and seven T20. With an impressive bowling average of 22.16, including 13 five wicket hauls, the bowler has taken 216 Test wickets.
You’ll be missed in the game, Philander!
