While, Jon Snow and Ygritte love story ended with an arrow in the heart (quite literally) in Game Of Thrones, their real-life counterparts, Kit Harrington and Rose Leslie got their happily ever after, finally!
Harington’s much-awaited wedding to his longtime girlfriend Rose Leslie was nothing short of a fairytale. The couple said ‘I do’ this past weekend (23 June) in a charming ceremony at Rayne Church in Aberdeenshire, Scotland.
The blushing bride wore an ivory long-sleeved lace-wedding gown by Elie Saab, and styled it with a white flower crown and full-length veil. She opted for a natural make-up look and paired her look with loose wave bob.
The groom complimented his bride-to-be in a dapper in three piece – a black jacket, cream-coloured vest and a pair of striped pants.
While wedding in Game Of Thrones series, are usually a bloody affair (remember the red wedding?) Kit and Rose’s nuptials was magical and a star-studded. GOT power sisters Sophie Turner and Maisie Williams were spotted arriving together. Sophie wore a red suit dress with a pair of over-the-knee length black boots to the ceremony, and accessorised her look with a pair of red sunglasses and a black-and-white purse.
Maisie opted for a demure look, wearing a black jumpsuit with a pair of red heels for the day. Mother of Dragons, Emilia Clarke arrived wearing a gorgeous pink, floral dress with a matching coat. Co-star Peter Dinklage was also seen walking into the church, along with fellow actors Liam Cunningham, John Bradley, Joe Dempsie, and Ben Crompton in formal suit.
Later, the beaming bride and groom drove away in an old Land Rover dressed with paper hearts and tin cans reading “just married.”
Their Love Story
Kit and Rose fell in love while filming the second season of Game of Thrones in Iceland back in 2012. They were engaged in September 2017 and announced the news in old-fashioned British style: via a classified advert in The Times.
