As dining habits continue to shift towards longer, more social experiences, Ode Mumbai is introducing Lazy Sunday Brunch, a weekly offering built around the idea of making Sundays count. Inspired by long European lunches, the brunch combines chef-driven dishes, a live roast carving station, unlimited cocktails through brunch, and live music, creating an experience that extends beyond a traditional meal.

Designed as a more thoughtful alternative to the conventional buffet brunch, guests can move through breakfast favourites, handmade pastas, roasts, desserts, and cocktails at their own pace. While signature favourites remain, the menu will evolve week-on-week, with a few rotating selection of dishes that gives guests something new to discover each Sunday.

“The idea was simple: create the kind of Sunday we all enjoy but rarely make time for. One where lunch isn’t something you rush through, but something you build the day around. Great food, good music, cocktails, and conversations that continue long after the plates are cleared. That’s the feeling we wanted to bring to Ode every Sunday,” says Chef Rahul Akerkar.

The experience begins with unlimited cocktails, including zero-proof cocktails, with guests able to choose between signatures such as the Amalfi Noon, Verde Oro, Scarlet Smoke, and Afternoon in Capri, as well as a curated selection of alcohol-free serves.

The food menu brings together a mix of brunch classics and chef-led favourites. Guests can start with dishes such as Turkish Eggs with lamb kofta, pesto and sumac onions, Shakshuka, or Ode’s Cruffin Benny, available with a choice of ham, salmon, bacon, cured buff, smoked chicken or avocado. From the griddle, highlights include the Open Brioche French Toast Sandwich, Dutch Baby, and Belgian Waffles.

For those looking for something heartier, the brunch also features salads such as Pressed Tuna Carpaccio and Smoked Chicken Three-Bean Salad, alongside handmade pastas including Pumpkin Walnut Saffron Caramelle, Orecchiette with Grilled Artichoke, and Crispy Cauliflower Rigatoni with parmesan fondue.

A rotating Sunday Roast forms the centrepiece of the experience, with selections that may include Roast Chicken, Roast Duck, Herbed Baked Rawas, Buff Wellington, or vegetarian options such as Whole Cauliflower, Cashew Miso Roast Eggplant, and Eggplant Parmigiana, accompanied by seasonal sides and sauces.

The menu is rounded off with desserts including Basque Cheesecake with Aamras, Apple Tarte Tatin with sour cream ice cream, Vegan Fudge Cake, and a Sugar-Free Chocolate Tart.

With a combination of food, cocktails, and live music, Lazy Sunday Brunch is designed to bring people together around the table and make the most of a Sunday afternoon.
