The Passport Hotel Introduces Mini Bar in Assagao

ASSAGAO, GOA – June 2026: Goa has no shortage of bars. What it didn’t have, until now, was a hotel built around one.

The Passport Hotel, India’s first cocktail-forward traveller’s hotel, has introduced Mini Bar, a new neighbourhood cocktail destination in the heart of Assagao. Designed as more than just a hotel bar, Mini Bar reimagines the traditional lobby as a lively social space where travellers and locals come together over thoughtfully crafted cocktails, good food and great conversations.

What sets Mini Bar apart is its refusal to stay in its lane. It’s pitched not as a perk reserved for guests, but as a space where locals and travellers are meant to collide over cocktails, food and conversation, with no room key required. That blurring of “hotel bar” and “neighbourhood bar” is deliberate, positioning Mini Bar as a reason to visit Assagao on its own merit, not just a stopover for people already checked in.

It’s also the latest chapter in a longer-running philosophy at The Passport Hotel: that cocktails shouldn’t be an afterthought bolted onto a stay, but the organising idea behind it.

The cocktail programme celebrates tropical produce, Indian ingredients, fermentation techniques and coastal influences, offering a menu that is both playful and rooted in place.

• Passport De Picante: A tropical interpretation of the classic Picante with tequila blanco, mezcal, fresh guava, coconut sugar, lime and house-made guava chamoy.
• Madame Rosita: A coastal take on the Rosita featuring kokum sourced from the Western Ghats, tequila, Campari and hibiscus-infused vermouth.
• Hot Girl Club: A refreshing highball combining feni, tequila blanco, house-fermented pineapple tepache liqueur, green chillies, lime and soda with a thecha salt rim.
• Café Noir: Rum paired with house-made cola cordial infused with Coorg coffee, served alongside lemon curd and butter-cookie dust.
• Meloni: An Old Fashioned-inspired cocktail built with bourbon, muskmelon syrup, green cardamom, bitters and dry vermouth.
