15 Years Of Sunil Chhetri

The talismanic Indian National Football player, the Captain Fantastic, Sunil Chhetri is adding another feather to his cap by completing 15 years of representing the nation in the international fields.

Making his debut in the National football team of India in the year 2005, Sunil has played 115 matches for India till date with 72 goals.

But that’s not it, his achievements come in a long list as the athlete is the second Indian player after Bhaichung Bhutia to play 100 international games.

The Padma Shri awardee falls just a little behind the world’s most renowned player Cristiano Ronaldo in the number of international strikes and was named as ‘Asian Icon’ by AFC on his 34 birthday.

Compiling some of his achievements, the Indian Football team’s official social media page shared a video of some jaw-dropping moments from Sunil’s gameplay.
