Description:


Titled “The Triumph of Kachchh,” this showcase by Satish is a transformative journey of artisans-turned-artists from Kachchh, India.
This collection emphasizes participation, authorship, vibrancy, transparency of labor, and relational aesthetics. The pieces are process-based, allowing the viewer to witness the work in its evolving form, even embracing the unfinished. It’s a break from tradition, but one that was necessary to find something new. Business leader Priya Paul will open the evening. Priya will share insights on how she effortlessly includes culture and tradition and makes it rock.

Aafasil Luhar, who breathes new life into copper bell-making with playful metal sculptures
Abdullah and Jabbar Khatri, who push the boundaries of Bandhani and clamp-dye techniques with fresh patterns; 
Shakil Khatri, who reimagines Batik as a medium of expressive cultural significance
Rabari Kuvarben’sintricate Rabari appliqué and embroidery
Khalid Amin Khatri’gestural Ajrakh,

Karim Mansuri’scontemporary wool felting highlights the intersection of tradition and innovation.

Meeya and Zuma Kasampresent masterful Ari Mochi embroidery

Ramesh Marwadarevives Kharad weaving with bold, abstract forms.

Rizwan Khatri’s vibrant Rogan paintings offer a new interpretation of an ancient craft, infusing energy and spontaneity into every brushstroke.

Sakina Pathan’sPathani Embroidery and AppliqueShe took her traditional designs andreimaginedthem as abstract, geometric shapes with a fresh perspective.
