The Passport Hotel Unveils Mini Bar in Assagao, Teaming Up with Five Brands to Turn a Launch into a Cultural Moment

ASSAGAO, GOA – June 2026: Goa has no shortage of bars. What it didn’t have, until this week, was a hotel built around one. The Passport Hotel, India’s first cocktail-forward hotel changed that on 23 June with the launch of Mini Bar, a new social and cocktail destination in the heart of Assagao, brought to life in partnership with Nasher Miles, Rippl, boAt Nirvana, Clovia and ABD Maestro.

The result is less a hotel amenity and more a statement: that the bar, not the lobby, can be the beating heart of a stay.

Five Brands, One Bar, No Shortage of Buzz

Mini Bar’s launch night brought together creators, media and hospitality insiders from Mumbai, Delhi and Goa into a single room and gave them plenty to talk about. The cocktail programme leaned on ABD Maestro’s portfolio, pouring Woodburns Contemporary Indian Whisky, Rangeela Vodka, Pumori Small Batch Gin and Aodh Irish Whiskey through a lineup of signature cocktails designed to show off the spirits’ range rather than just their labels.

But the real story is the collaboration model itself. Rather than a single co-brand activation, The Passport Hotel transformed the launch into a convergence point for lifestyle categories that don’t usually share the same space: travel gear by Nasher Miles, audio tech by boAt Nirvana, social community platform Rippl, fashion and lifestyle brand Clovia and premium spirits by ABD Maestro all orbiting one bar, one night, one shared idea of what a “destination” should feel like in 2026. Each brand contributed to a different aspect of the guest journey, from travel and music to fashion, community and cocktails, creating an experience that celebrated travel, creativity and connection under one roof.

Built to Be a Neighbourhood Bar, Not Just a Hotel One

What sets Mini Bar apart is its refusal to stay in its lane. It’s pitched not as a perk reserved for guests, but as a space where locals and travellers are meant to collide over cocktails, food and conversation, with no room key required. That blurring of “hotel bar” and “neighbourhood bar” is deliberate, positioning Mini Bar as a reason to visit Assagao on its own merit, not just a stopover for people already checked in.

It’s also the latest chapter in a longer-running thesis at The Passport Hotel: that cocktails shouldn’t be an afterthought bolted onto a stay, but the organizing idea behind it.

“From day one, we’ve believed that cocktails deserve to be at the heart of the travel experience, not just an add-on,” said Ashesh Sajnani, Founder, The Passport Hotel. “That’s what inspired us to build India’s first cocktail-forward hotel, and Mini Bar is a natural extension of that vision. We wanted to create a space where people can check in for a stay, drop by for a drink, meet new people and discover great spirits in a relaxed, welcoming setting. Partnering with all these brands made perfect sense because we share a passion for travel, creativity and bringing people together.”

The collaboration was conceptualised by Idea Factory Media, The Passport Hotel’s collaboration partner, spearheaded by Malini Agarwal, who said:

“Goa isn’t just a destination for me, it’s a feeling, and The Passport Hotel has genuinely become my home away from home here. When this idea came up, I knew I didn’t want to do another standard brand tie-up and I wanted one big mashup that brought together everything I love: travel, drinks, fashion, music, community, all of it, under one roof. Honestly, I don’t think six brands have ever come together in a collaboration quite like this before. And watching it all come alive that night, I think we pulled off something Goa hasn’t seen yet.”

Not Just a Launch Party – A Two-Day Immersion

Mini Bar’s debut wasn’t a one-night affair. It anchored a two-day creator experience that brought Mumbai and Delhi’s digital creators face-to-face with Goa’s own influencer and media circuit, built around curated dining, neighbourhood bar-hops (in partnership with 30 Best Bars and ABD Maestro) under The Passport Hotel’s Stamp Collector Program, where Travelers staying at The Passport Hotel get a Passport from the Brand that has a collection of best bars to go to in Goa and collect stamps to head back and get a surprise from Mini Bar on collecting all the stamps. Guests left with curated gifting experiences from the hotel and its partner brands, a finishing touch on an itinerary designed to feel less like a press junket and more like a story worth retelling.

The Bigger Picture

With Mini Bar now open, The Passport Hotel is doubling down on a simple bet: that hospitality’s next differentiator isn’t thread count or pool views, but the strength of the community and social experiences a property can create. Through brand collaborations and a growing calendar of community-led programming, the hotel is positioning itself less as a place to sleep and more as a place where a night out begins – and where, as the team likes to put it, every stay comes with a story, and every cocktail becomes part of the journey.
