The Amethyst Room is delighted to present Loom’s Lullaby – The Song of the Loom, a showcase by Maku Textiles from August 5th to 9th, 2026 between 10:30 a.m. and 7:30 p.m., at The Amethyst Room, 106, Chamiers Road, RA Puram, Chennai. Price range: Rs.14,000/- onwards

The showcase features Maku’s thoughtfully crafted womenswear collection, including tunics, pyjamas, trousers, sarees, and scarves, along with a selection of menswear. Prices start at Rs.14,000/-.

Maku Textiles

Born in Kolkata in 2011, Maku Textiles is a contemporary clothing label deeply rooted in textile heritage and craftsmanship. Founded by Santanu Das during his time at the National Institute of Design, the brand reimagines traditional weaving practices for a modern audience.

Working closely with skilled artisans from rural communities, Maku creates garments using handwoven textiles, natural dyes, and Azo free dyes. With a commitment to authenticity, sustainability, and refined simplicity, the label celebrates the beauty of traditional craft while reaching a growing global audience.
