Since the restrictions have eased off, the scare of COVID has started fading away in the public and many have ignored to comply with the usual precautionary measures like wearing face masks and social distancing.

Sharing a real-life incident of COVID and how it affects each individual differently, Preity Zinta took to her official social media handle where she wrote how her family battled with the Coronavirus and gave out an important message.

In her social media-share, the Bollywood actress stated: “Three weeks ago my Mom, brother, his wife, kids & my uncle all tested positive for Covid. Suddenly terms like ventilators, ICU and oxygen machines took a new meaning. I felt helpless & powerless here in America, far away as he battled it out in the hospital. I’m so grateful to the almighty and to all those wonderful doctors & nurses that worked tireless to take care of them” and asked everyone to stay safe and not to take COVID lightly.

The actress also delivered a relaxing news that her family has been tested negative of the viral infection and now she can finally stop stressing and sleep peacefully, calling the moment a “Happy New Year”.
