French footballer Paul Pogba, recently landed in a controversy after a media agency reported the athlete’s withdrawal from the French national team.

The stirring story came up after the French President Emmanuel Macron’s controversial statement over the recent agitating event that took place in his home country. Post the President’s remark, the news about Pogba quitting his position from the France team broke out in the media.

Reacting to the viral news, the ManU midfielder shared a post today on his official social media handle with ‘Unacceptable Fake News’ scribbled over the article of ‘The Sun’. The French footballer also wrote, “I am appalled, angry, shocked and frustrated some “media” sources use me to make total fake headlines in the sensible subject of French current events and adding my religion and the French National Team to the pot. I am against any and all forms of terror and violence. My religion is one of peace and love and must be respected.” on his social media post.

Pogba’s statement is also backed by Manchester United, where the team released a statement over their social media page condemning the deterogratory act of the media agency.
