Kamala Harris has been nominated as the Vice President candidate from the Democratic Party for the upcoming elections, on 3 November. The officially candidature took place at the Democratic National Convention which was held virtually due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Along with Kamala Harris, former US President Barack Obama and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton also joined her at the virtual convention. The US Senator from California will work with Democratic Presidential candidate Joe Biden, together vowed to build an all-inclusive United States.

Accepting her nomination from Wilmington, Delaware, Kamala Harris is the first Black American and also first Indian-American to fight for the Vice Presidential post from a major party. She also gave an acceptance speech and is all set to go against her opposition, Mike Pence.

On Twitter, Kamala Harris stated that she’ll commit to her mother’s value. Also, she’ll work towards the vision Joe Biden and she have seen together, which is “where all are welcome, no matter what we look like, where we come from, or who we love.”
